The Acura TL, first introduced to drivers in 1996, served as the five-seater sedan replacement to the Acura Vigor. Acura TL 2004 and newer come with a 3.2-liter V-6 engine and optional manual transmission option.

The 2004-2006 Acura TL offers tauter springs, refined shocks, larger wheels with low-profile to fit in with the enhanced body kit. Some Acura TL models 2007 and newer models come with your choice of a paddle-shifted five-speed automatic or a six-speed manual.

The Acura TL Type S debuted in 2007 with a change to the body style and interior trim, larger engine and greater horsepower capabilities. The Type S models also provide stiffer suspension. The Acura TL Type S is the only model to offer its own unique paint color: Kinetic Blue.

The fourth and last generation of remodels for the Acura TL debuted in 2009. The 2009 and newer models offer drivers a larger sedan with front wheel drive. Acura also introduced the new SH-AWD, Super Handling All Wheel Drive, to replace the Type S. SH-AWD models from 2010 and on can be found with a six-speed manual.

In 2015 the TL was retired and replaced with the Acura TLX. The TL models are an exceptional car that lasts for years and years, just as you'd expect from a luxury brand like Acura.
